Zart Arn Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I'd like to present a new campaign 'RED ALERT' on the =RAF= server. What is it? This is task-oriented campaign with wide list of targets for all types of DCS modules. In the missions I want to gather fighter-jet pilots, attack aircraft pilots, helicopter pilots and combined arms tankmans together and give all of them the aim. The main aim is a victory in the campaign which will consists of around 20 mission. Right now I created 5 of them. We will start on Inguri river (border of Abhazia and Georgia) and then move forefront into the Georgia or to the Abhazia. Central mission is "-00 RA inguri" and the last missions will be "-10 RA Sochi" and "+10 RA Batumi". Every mission is a local battle. All of us naturally can be separated base on language so I used Russian language for the RED side and English language for the BLUE side. I hope that Russian speaking community will join RED side and English speaking community will join BLUE side. So at the END of the campaign we will see which of communities are stronger. Any mission in the campaign has 3 ends: draw, red win, blue win. If we have a draw then mission will be reloaded after 4 hours. If for example Blue win then forefront move to the Red territory. All missions are linearly connected. What do you need to win the mission and switch the progress from -00 to -01, so on and win the war? -Right. You need to destroy, kill and perform tasks which listed in a mission briefing. Tasks, tanks, sam, infantry, houses, planes, helicopters cost differ amount of points. If you capture enemy base with the help of CA for example then your coalition will get 50 points, if factory then 40 points, tank = 3 points, solder = 1 point. Once you get around 230 points (elliminating enemy Ground Resources (GR)) you will win the mission. But if you are natural figther and you hate all those su25, a10, ka50 then just kill them or protect your side accets. In this case earn 30 points (Aviation Resources (AR)) and your coalition will win the mission. Enemy figther jet costs 1 point of AR, helicopter costs 2 points of AR and attack aircraft costs 3 points of AR. 4 hours per mission. What else? NATO ground troops for BLUE side and Russian troops for the RED. All aircrafts available for the RED and the BLUE. Every mission has basically equal number of red and blue troops but with a random variations. CombinedArms (CA) plays key role in the mission. You can hardly win a mission without moving tanks. Attack aircrafts can hardly fly without fighter protection. CA can hardly move without attack aircrafts. No anti-sam missiles. Ok. Please come to the =RAF= server choose the BLUE side, read the briefing and try to win the Campaign. After some time we will plan to organize weekly Big War between squads on this campaign. P.S. We will save campaign progress in the case of server crashes. Attached example pictures: main progress maps of the campaign (-02 RA Achigvara, +02 RA Zugdidi) and an example of troops dislocation.
Zart Arn Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 Update. Six mission was added. Name of the mission: -03 RA Night Ops. This is night mission, no IR SAM units along front line. Conflict region: Ochamchira-Achigvara. Right now we have: -03 RA Night Ops - the war on the territory of red coalition -02 RA Achigvara -01 RA Gali -00 RA Inguri - central mission. Start of the War +01 RA Zugdidi +02 RA Djvari - the war on the territory of blue coalition Current map of the campaign:
Zart Arn Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 Update! I added 7th mission. Senaki battle. +03 RA Senaki Campaign structure is: -03 RA Night Ops - to the Sochi -02 RA Achigvara -01 RA Gali -00 RA Inguri - central mission. +01 RA Zugdidi +02 RA Djvari +03 RA Senaki - to the Batumi

Darkwolf Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 We tested the server, that was mission number 0. That is working well, no disconnect or no ping spike for an hour. I really like the setup with credible air defense on both side. Nice job :) A couple of notes tho : -Tacview is off. :/ -Only one Mi-8 and two Mig-21. Running a wing which haz mig and mi8 pilot, we are quite limited. Thank you for your efforts put into this !! See you soon in the sky ! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. madyogi Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Hello, That's a great job you did! I'm playing this one since few weekends and it's really damn cool piece of work. Things I've noticed though still need some updates like: 1. CA spawned commander doesn't see a briefing (CA BUG?), so has no idea what place to attack / defend, 2. I love the Hip but i really can't figure how to handle the tasks for it. What's the difference between 'transport' and 'rescue' flight? No word about it in the briefing. There are obvioulsy, no supply crates to be lifted so I've focused on troops, none of units in Zugdidi (blue side) embarks the heli. Where should the units be taken to? Is 'transporter tasked to take them into "the 3 containers" zone? After the job complition, the 'Rescue' flight would picke them up and send back to hospital? Does it suppose to go that way? 3. Not sure if this one got fixed now but a week or two ago - for both Red/Blue coalitins airbases become 'neutral' at start. Players who spawn on them with planes can't rearm/refuel (like F15 that is spawned empty at batumi) or sabre in senaki that will never take off (no ext power supply at neutrla airbases) :( Still this campaing is a great idea, specially without external views. This gives a hell better reality of situation... ;) Really great job, keep on going...
