  1. With zoom, or without - I have pretty much the issue with DCS. To me, the comic thing is that one can clearly see a distant tree, an electric pole or a radio tower mast far, far away and can't see a damn aircraft half way in between. The effect gets even more hilarious when the plane starts defending itself and popping flares, so one can see them being thrown by "nobody". I pretty much can't see things flying further than 6-8 km away. Every craft is at most a pixel size, then when I get closer, it suddenly goes "expected" size.
  2. Latest update (downloaded 24th of December 2021) ruins engines sound. High pitch of engine sound makes it a complete noise and unplayable.
  3. Lighting issues thread closed, but here is yet another one. Shkval is completely unusable at night, with NVG enabled. No way to correct it's brightness/contrast. Disabling NVG gives just sad glimpse of tree tops. With shkval enabled its white spot (if all other cocpit light and abris trimmed down).

  5. Is it just my case or is this the biggest cheating server ever? During last weekend and up till today I've counted like 8 cases where i had a clean mi8 flight to take over RED guys town/farp, each time ive ended up with CTD, server reboot or being kicked to MP wait room... So f...g annoying!
  6. Same c..p again! after 3 attempts of rolling from the hangar (and kicks), I finally manage to take off and - got f...g kick again... Looks like the server is pretty damn unstable or ED is having a real blast while "coding"? another patch. I guess the password idea isn't the best, If it had to be an "open" thing for everyone. I guess the idea introduced earlier - of 7 lives per day (without exception) was a better solution. Just serius gamesr - no flyboys, voulchers etc... One safely ejects, gets CSAR flight to base and the lifes get restored, one looses them otherwise... P.S. Corner cutters could have like 12? spawns per day... Flying mi8/uh1 is really a pain in su27 / f15 world... P.S.2 Great work with that mission idea and all that made it functional. Wish to have more money one day to donate for this one... cheers!
  7. Server gone or kicking ppl out (or just me?). Now I see it with others in and happy flying but can't log into it. ... Had a peaceful flight around gudauta - sochi, with an EWR on board :D and bang... server made a boo boo...
  8. Is the server actually "hanging" right now? See the status web page showing all the packs, mission time set to 25min (not changing since i got kicked) but still with players connected...
  9. for a moment I tought I got banned, right after I spwaned at Beslan-Tibilisi farp. Took 2 different spawn slots and doing so sent two 42VFG guys to angels... :( Can't this be fixed - helis spawns directly on FARP, not like 100 or 200 metres away from it. (like with a tail inside a house or on a hill side....)
  10. Hello, That's a great job you did! I'm playing this one since few weekends and it's really damn cool piece of work. Things I've noticed though still need some updates like: 1. CA spawned commander doesn't see a briefing (CA BUG?), so has no idea what place to attack / defend, 2. I love the Hip but i really can't figure how to handle the tasks for it. What's the difference between 'transport' and 'rescue' flight? No word about it in the briefing. There are obvioulsy, no supply crates to be lifted so I've focused on troops, none of units in Zugdidi (blue side) embarks the heli. Where should the units be taken to? Is 'transporter tasked to take them into "the 3 containers" zone? After the job complition, the 'Rescue' flight would picke them up and send back to hospital? Does it suppose to go that way? 3. Not sure if this one got fixed now but a week or two ago - for both Red/Blue coalitins airbases become 'neutral' at start. Players who spawn on them with planes can't rearm/refuel (like F15 that is spawned empty at batumi) or sabre in senaki that will never take off (no ext power supply at neutrla airbases) :( Still this campaing is a great idea, specially without external views. This gives a hell better reality of situation... ;) Really great job, keep on going...

  12. 1.2.16 Yes, with or without tanks. bug exists... Unlimited fuel after successful on-air refueling, fuel does not drop when flying, does not even drop after when repairing the plane, later on the ground...

  14. Hip the tea bag crane :) The reason of posting this was me not able to make Mi8 pick a cargo during on-line flight. I downloaded the mission posted by "Diveplane". Edited it and switched from UH1 to Mi8. Started the mission from the mission editor. Took of, came closer to the cargo. Picked the F6 > F1, switched to middle seat and very closely and steady flew over the cargo. When a message "hovering over a cargo" followed by "cargo hovered" showed up i knew i made it right. I picked the crates from the airfield and dropped them in some town, did a big circle to make F6 menu go off the menu, then flew over the area again just to get it back. Again radio menu > f6 > f1. Smoke mark shows up over the crate. Flew over it, hooked it the same as before ... conclusion IT WORKS. The only thing I couldn't make working was the cargo cam view. Had it under LSHIFT+LCTRL+C. Not sure if it is because of my editing or is it a default (BUG) but the same key binding is for one of the Mi8 doors. Anyway i changed the key mapping to RSHIFT+RCTRL+C but still the cargo cam view isn't working for Mi8 (if there is one implemented). Anyway, there are on-line games hosting the "tea-bag" missions but some of them simply do not display the F6 radio menu entry... :( Is it because the cargo crates initial location isn't the friendly airport / farp ? Hope it helps to anyone who stuck with Mi8. Regards
  15. Ok. Here are some facts 1. I'm from Poland. 2. I do have a debit card, but no credit card ( never needed one, read #5 ). 3. I got a 'confirmed' PayPal account (I can transfer money from my bank into PP within just few seconds). 4. There is more than enough money on my PP to pay for an order. 5. My new debit card can not be used as a 'credit card' - unfortunatelly, because the previous one from the same bank had this 'secret' capability. At some point in time I found out that people from that bank didn't realize it can be used that way - this is a longer story to tell. Makeing it short - place from point 1 is really a 'magic' one... Back to the topic! After placing an order, I just wanted to click the PayNow button, pick a payment method (as one would usually do) and do the payment, but instead I'm beeing redirected to Paypal webpage, where I see an error emssage telling that "Belsimtek is unable to receive money ..." To eliminate the local OS bugs, I tried to pay under WinXP (IE8/Chrome); Win7(IE11); Linux(FireFox) and each of browsers ended up with exactly the same error...
  16. problem persists... I was trying to pay for F15C module last weekend, with use of my PayPal account. PayPal servers responded with a message that "Belsimtek is not able to recevice my money at the moment..." Yes, I placed a ticket on ED helpdesk with a suggestion to use SagePay, in response. It is not even possible to put F15C into the cart now, so I have lost the fight! Anyway, opened the SP website and filled in the registration form. It ended up with some annoying message, telling someone is about to contact me via phone, to confirm the registration proces... Waiting, waiting, waiting... :music_whistling: Hmmm... Did 21st century really started 14 years ago? :doh:
  17. 1st of all, the digits layout changes, depending on things you pick on the PVI - I guess you know that! For WP navig., the last number in 6-digit rows for lat/long panels, is in range 0..9, where 0 is like 0..9[%] and 9 is like 90..99[%] of 'seconds' for indicated location. Every minute goes ++1, when seconds counter 'overflows' 9 (resets back to 0). Every minute goes --1, when seconds counter drops below 0. 1*=60'; 1' = 60'' so for 44*56',8 you should end up somewhere near 44*56',~48'' I guess it was stated somewhere in the man. but im not in a mood to read it again as long as ED isn't in a mood to fix the KA bugs... :doh: :joystick: O, the DD/DDD is actually DDD/DDD and 1st 0 is not indicated, though you need to press it when manually programming the PVI. Look at it like X/Y axis where Greenwich location is the center. Further you have [0]DD/0DD 1st quarter; [0]DD/1DD 2nd; 1DD/0DD 3rd and 1DD/1DD 4th quarter of entire world... I leave it to you, to find out which one is where... :D The INU was 'modelled' as you called it, in BS1/2, when it was not part of the DCS. The goal was to locate the INU position with own "seat" or at least with a shkval's laser, next press the 'lock' buton (I think), to "correct the INU drift". One could also put INU points in the mission editor, but i guess all of that was too hard to digest for guys that are afraid to read manuals...
  18. 1.2.9 Installation (Not) Ok... I've just downloaded the 1.2.9, after when I was attempting to pay for the MI-8 (I have enough money to pay for it in PayPal account), still the payment does'nt pass through... (Is it PP side, DCS side, no idea....) Anyway, decided to install the DCS 1.2.9 as a separate dir (not overlayed on old 1.2.8 install. I've also installed the DCS-KA50 (English upgrade license from an old BS1), all the same way as over the years, wehn upgrading across 1.2.x releases. Here is a riddle - the protection system screems about invalid hardware key and that my serial is invalid, though it still works perfect in 1.2.8.... Have U tried this? - remove the new install (1.2.9), dont touch an old one, if any. - install it again from the download pack. - DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY MODULES - start the DCS World, and move to modules manager - install any modules from out there... ED pls, fix the KA's no-hud-after-repairs bug, before we all blender lovers get (b)old and to blind to notice it is missing... :pilotfly:

And if you are not willing to read the thread or at least the important findings on the ways to prevent the ARMs from self-exploding, then don't expect anyone to read your post. The solution is in this SEAD thread. If it is here, than lets cut the c...p and delete everything, leaving just the solution? Wouldn't it just save me and you and many others readiing typing reading and typing?
  20. See this thread is quite a long one, but have no time for it to read all... For me, the most annoying thing is that missiles just explode few secs after leaving a launch rail under the su-25t wing. No matter if alt is 2 or 8 km (barometric). It is quite random and no matter what U aim at. Patriot, buk, hawk, anything long-range, 'radar capable'. Claiming the radar emiter turns off itself? So what? the missiles 'remember' the signal location and should fly in that 'spot'... Yes, they'll miss if the 'emiter' moves from initial location. Are ground radar systems equipped in any kind of jammers? No idea about it, but if so - how ELINT finds them? Rotary search antenna case - very very true and realistic case! Anyway, the exploding missile make SEAD flight huge piece of .......! The "LA" override issue? Don't see any issue in that, just enable it and U're able to launch the missile earlier, into a "spot" pointed by ELINT. If it gets shot down before reaching the target? Well, good for those who shot it. Out of range? Issue only for ppl who don't understand ballistics... That class of missiles can fly "without fuel" (someone said), well over 100km or 200km... See KH-58 U variant, shot from 10km or 15km altitude or anti aircraft S200 Wega starting from ground ;D

  22. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Fighting with it for about an hour. Connected to some server, got game crash after landing (CTD). Next, when tried to enable multi..., typed in my password - it says "Connecting to master" and BANG - crash again... :(:mad: Here are some logs... Logs.zip

I guess you're talking about WPT btn (the top left corner of the PVI; you can have 6 waypoints), I was rather thinking about the NAV/TGT btn, the one 3 btns below the WPT button (you can define 8?/9? NAV/TGS during flight or have them predefined in the mission editor). If U select NAV/TGT 1->8/9 the OT shows on the HUD and the heli can stear to that point, but If U enable shkval and turn on the laser, it starts showing distnace measured with a laser and the HUD still shows distance to selected OT. Since you say, you didn't change anything on PVI its must be a bug or 'undocumented feature'. (Have to admit i never reproduced it) Though I have something 'unusal' with shkval too (BS1, BS2 possibly too) 1. Make sure laser is disabled 2. Enable shkval [O] 3. Designate AH64 or anything else flying. This way you can track it with opticks but not aiming it with laser; in theory target shouldn't know you're there (he doesn't have the laser warning), and that should increase your chance to come closer unnoticed... 4. Enable laser [O+RSHIFT ? ] (not sure) 5. Now, try to designate it again to get its distance and lock it... => WHOOPS - very often I end up trying to catch that F#$%$$%$ on the sky (and die) because the shkval optics go crazy...:joystick:
