i'm new to this so sorry, by why is the AWACS never talking to me? its sending BRA info to Enfield 1-1, etc but it never says my call sign 'steve' (yep I know, not very fighter pilot callsigny). I'm in the FC3 instant action F15 game.

any ideas what i'm doing wrong? it would be nice to get BRA info on targets. thx

It's using your flight callsign and number that is set in Mission Editor by the mission designer.

sorry still don't get it. i'm playing instant action at the moment, not a mission, so what's my callsign? i assumed it was 'steve' since i set that in the log and that's what shows up on my plane when i have labels on.

maybe I am Enfield 1-1 then?

Steve is your DCS 'pilots' Callsign, when you are in the mission your aircraft has a callsign.

This is set up in the Mission Editor by the person who made the mission.

The easiest way to find out what your callsign is to look at the name of your aircraft from the List you selected it in. You should see a callsign next to it

Eg F-15 - Uzi 11 - USA - Steve - In this case the aircraft callsign would be Uzi 11

You can also contact awacs or ATC yourself using the Radio menu and listen for what your pilot says is his callsign.

If the mission maker has not changed the aircraft in the mission to have different callsigns (happens often) then the awacs will call everyone the same callsign, this can cause a lot of confusion!
