-> DMS right to trigger the active Option

-> DMS left ->back in the Menue

->Mic Switch left/right/down to close the menue, the DMS returns to his normal operation.

VAICOM 2.0 is great, but it's not suitable for everyone all the time.

There are many occasions where I might be 'flying' late at night, talking clearly and loudly to my computer, won't make me very popular with the rest of the household!

You also need a quiet environment to use it, too much background noise just leaves windows struggling to understand what you've said.

As a Rift user, I agree with the OP entirely, a way of working the Radio Menu without touching the keyboard is greatly missing form DCS. In Elite Dangerous I can zip around many displays and menus, just using a four way Hi-hat and a select button, it works perfectly even with the Rift.

All that's need here in DCS, is a cursor up and cursor down binding.

Instead of the Radio Menu looking like this

It would have the current selection Hi-lighted (Note: White on Black is much easier to read in the Rift, than white on blue-sky or even white on cloud).

Keying the Microphone button would bring up the menu with 'F12. Exit' pre selected

Keying the Microphone button again would select the option (so with 'F12. Exit' still selected, the microphone button would just close the menu again).

As I say, only two new bindings are required, one to move the cursor up, and one to move the cursor down (the option to use the 'F' keys is still there if you prefer).

When you have the option you want selected, just select it with the Microphone button.

Simple, quick, quiet, and usable by both Monitor and Rift players alike without ever having to touch the keyboard!

Also in for this. I think it could be similar to how it is done in ARMA2. There you can use the mousewheel to scroll through the options once you brought up the menu. Of course a joystick instead is ok as well.

Very good suggestion, I hope DCS implement this, I like to use one of the HAT switches for radio, and I'd still program HAT left and right for specific critical things, but with this it would make it so much easier to do everything else.
