INS and waypoint management

Any infos ?

The manual is really poor about the INS / waypoints / ILS / etc...

And the next/previous waypoint shortcuts seem to do nothing.

The next waypoint shortcut works; previous waypoint does not. And the cherry on the top is that it autmatically switches to the next so using a waypoint as a target reference for CAS is a pain as it switches to the next waypoint every time you fly close to that point.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Zeus (Razbam) wrote it's not fully implemented for now.

I use simple wpts management (set in editor) and leave it at that until further developpment.

I made a simple instrument flying mission with four waypoints set in the editor. I can switch between the waypoints (using "next") and the distance to each waypoint changes in the HUD. But the bearing marker to the next WP doesn't move no matter how I point the nose. Is this a bug/not implemented yet or am I doing something wrong?

Funny... When I loaded the mission again it worked. Must have been a glitch. What was your theory about the HSI?

The waypoint moves automatically to the next only when the system is in NAV. When you are in attack mode, and specifically in AG mode, the waypoint is locked so you can use it as a reference.

There is a mode selector on HSI:

NAV/ TACAN...

You have to be on NAV to show INS WPT.

It was in NAV mode. That was the first thing I checked. Also the WP deviation marker didn't move properly but that also works now. It was probably some sort of hickup since it works now. When I tried it the first time it was by previewing the mission from the ME. When I loaded it as a mission from the main menu everything worked, so it is possibly a DCS glitch and not a M2K glitch...
