That is Mirage 2000-5.

This is Mirage 2000C.

visually, there isnt that much of difference between the two

why this new mirage 2000C from razbam wouldn't replace the current ancient and outdated (and now ugly looking) AI model of the mirage2000 and wouldn't be shipped as non flyable AI aircraft (untill you buy it) by default with the whole DCS?? i really don't see the point keeping the old one (as well as many other lockon era ancient 3d models of AI aircrafts in a 2016 sim like DCS)

The same than F/A-18C and F/A-18E.....

But for the Mirage, both version are totally different.... The -5F version is Fox 3 capable, but not the C version. Radar of the -5F is more powerful than the RDI of the C version. There's nothing to see between those versions.

Guys, OP is asking about an AI model.

It's just cosmetics, nothing to do with radar and capabilities, it's not about making it flyable.

@ Teschmacher: to make it correctly, Razbam would have to make changes to the 3D model (there are differences between the two aircraft, subtle one but still), plus have dedicated liveries (could be derived from the existing one, but still a bit of work) plus check the animations do well (I guess so since the 2000C is AI capable too) plus check for the loadouts (not the same; new pylons would be required for MICA for example).

Overall, it's nothing impossible but it would still take some time investment. To what end? And knowing that there is still work to do on their own model, I guess if it's considered it's not the highest on Razbam's priority list.

Anyway, I like the idea :)

Just my 2 cents.

You're streching it a lot. Bug and Super are far more different (in shape only) than C and -5.
