Radar bar scan fixed + Radar slew unable

Recommended Posts

Hi, checking in with this one since its fairly core to the important part of the planes duties ;)

The Bar scan 1,2,4 allows movement but there is no vertical radar scan indication and it appears that the scan zone is fixed forward 6 degree up and 6 degree down and unable to move.

Obviously 12 degree of vertical scanning space fixed in front is making it hard to pickup targets, increasinghly so when closer in. Can I confirm this is yet to be implemented or is just not working?

Secondly, the Radar slew perhaps these keybinds are for FC3 and not for the Mirage 2000C? I see a rotary axis on the throttle not yet clickable, will there also be an azimuth slew for that cool 15 degree azimuth scan.

Any priority order for these items relative to the other areas of development? This part woudl make the Mirage a little better able to handle combat, so far if you get off his altitude its easy to hide.

Great module, been looking forward to this for a long time.

Edit: assumed it was stuck in 4 bar scan but does look like fast sweeps so im not convinced it really is, if not can you confirm what bar scan is fixed?

BY default it is 4 bar/60 azimuth

The radar will be improved. Just give us a little time.

I wish I could map these to my hotas. Can't see it in them in the settings though.

We will help you with that.

Any update here?

Yesterday I lost lock on a higher target, and my radar was stuck with the vertical azimuth pointed upward, so I couldn't even detect co-altitude aircraft. I figured out how to reset the radar, but is there still no way to move the vertical azimuth upward and downward?

I did RTFM and searched here, and I can't find anything except the 1, 2, and 4 bar modes, which is not the same thing as what I'm asking for.

Ok, think I found it, thanks. Where is this control in the cockpit? I looked everywhere with tooltips and in the manual and didn't find it.

antenna elevation control is on the front of the stalk of the throttle for M2000 (Blind side to pilot). As far as I know is has no function in game but probably cannot be accessed in that position anyway. But a rotary control works antenna elevation just fine

Its hotas switch i think so you wont find it. Maybe there isnt even a real button for reset

It is on the throttle in a position that makes it impossible for you to ever click on it, thus the only way to use it is via keyboard commands.
