I had the target well within the seeker window though with the airframe under control. Can you use the radar to guide the seeker head?Rearward Missile.trk
nomdeplume Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Can you use the radar to guide the seeker head? In the close combat modes yes, but not yet implemented. So no. ;) Also, the R-550 currently locks at the aircraft boresight/gun cross thing, not the seeker circle on the HUD.

Wow, that explains why i stay on someones tail, for seemingly minutes and can't get a f**king tone! lol. thanks!
dpatt711 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Me and a few friends tried this out. It appears you only can do it under ~300kts or else you turn to mush, and it's incredibly hard to actually get a lock. I went 1/52 (Still got shot down, but got missile off first) and my friend went 0/44. I would not advise this maneuver in MP.
