Nealius Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Trim is not working for me as well after mapped to my stick. Magic II select is also not working from the stick (programmed via SST).
PiedDroit Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Trim is not working for me as well after mapped to my stick. Magic II select is also not working from the stick (programmed via SST). Some of the keyboard shortcuts were unset with the update (I didn't modify them, they were default ones), maybe you had this too, try remap them.
Nealius Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Remapping worked, but trim only works with symmetrical payloads. If I drop one bomb from a wing the trim is ineffective.
chris9932 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 it 's the same for me, after the new update trim don't work when i launch a missile.
PiedDroit Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I noticed it too, lateral trim seem to capped to a very small value. It doesn't affect symetrical load but once you're asymmetrical there's not enough trim available to compensate.
SilentEagle Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Should we be feeling the effects of an asymmetric load ? If the FBW system is a roll rate rate demand and the pilot is demanding zero roll rate (stick lateral neutral) shouldn't the FBW system cater for the asymmetry ? If the FBW system is at all similar to the F-16 (which is also roll rate demand), then no, it wouldn't automatically account for asymmetry. If you actually look at the FLCS diagram, the roll axis is not an actual controller that would guarantee a roll rate, like the pitch axis is with G/alpha/pitch rate. It is just gains and limits that are conditional. Edited January 24, 2016 by SilentEagle
