Yoda_373sqn Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Hello, I have two questions regarding m2k-c radar 1) in the manual it is stated that you can switch between RWS/TWS and STT while in air-to-air role. Although is clear how to get to STT (hard lock) I can not find the way to do a rws/tws change. In the radar panel there isnt a scan mode button. 2) In B scope mode, with the TDC keys I can move the radar cursor around but I cant find the way to change the altimeter my radar looks for target. How is this done? The Radar Antenna keys (up/down/letf/right) do not seem to work. When do we use those? Thank you ! Do or do not, there is no try!
Ktulu2 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Lock once = TWS Lock twice = STT 2) The antena elevation cannot be changed at the moment from what I've read, making the M2K pretty much useless in A2A :( I do DCS videos on youtube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAs8VxtXRJHZLnKS4mKunnQ?view_as=public
grunf Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 1. First time you press the Target lock button enters TWS mode, with second press you actually lock it (STT). 2. It's not implemented yet.
TomCatMucDe Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Lock once = TWS Lock twice = STT 2) The antena elevation cannot be changed at the moment from what I've read, making the M2K pretty much useless in A2A :( Useless is a big exaggeration. The MiG21 isn't useless in A2A, it doesn't have a moving radar with s much shorter range than the Mirage. You can live with limitation till the full functionality is simulated
Yoda_373sqn Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 thank you for your replies but what about RWS? It is obvious that with teh first lock you get to TWS since you keep track of multiple targets. Also correct on second lock for STT What about RWS to TWS and TWS to RWS Rgr on the antenna elevation Do or do not, there is no try!
grunf Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 RWS is the default mode, it's active when you're not tracking. To return to it, unlock the target.
Yoda_373sqn Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 ty for your reply ! Do or do not, there is no try!
