Gunnergolly Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) From a tail shot often the Super 530D's run out of steam even when you launch them well within that WEZ scale.......... however that's the topic of discussion in another thread on here. Thanks for taking the time to do a little testing for me.. PiedDroit Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Thanks for taking the time to do a little testing for me..You're welcome  Those tests were interesting for me too ;)
jojo Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Maybe your correct about the circle disappearing after launching the second missile is a cue telling me that i have no 530's left ???.. It's just not what i'm expecting to see... i'm expecting to see that circle in my HUD which tells me that i have a good STT lock right up to impact. Haven't read that in the manual, but i might have missed it.... i'm still learning with this module. edit .... Thanks for the conformation. Once you're in STT, if you loose lock you don't fall back to TWS you loose totally. So if you loose the radar lock you loose the square around the target...like F-15C :smilewink: 1 Mirage fanatic ! Gunnergolly Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Understood now jojo. It was the fact that as soon as i launched that second missile i lost the circle, so i thought that i had also lost my STT. However during my testing and after watching my second missile hit it's target i realized that was obviously not the case... with a little guidance from PiedDroit i can confirm that STT is not lost when i launch that second 530 by a "PIC" indication in my radar screen. Nothing wrong with the M2KC afterall, just a lack of understanding of her systems on my part. That's maybe my problem i've never actually played the F-15C, even through i own it.... to many DCS modules and not enough time to play and understand them all :(. Regards. jojo Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 to many DCS modules and not enough time to play and understand them all :(. Regards. Yes, this is why fighter pilot is mostly a full time job, unfortunately we can't make a living of playing DCS  Mirage fanatic ! TomCatMucDe Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Do we see on the HDD if somebody is jamming? I can only assume it when I can't lock a target from a certain distance but I don't see any indication that the radar is being jammed. Do I miss something ?
LuSi_6 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 yes, you see it. Jammers cause ghost contacts, same azimut but instead of one contact you get two or three, at different distances. these ghost contacts jump around (closer than the actual target and more far away). You will not see the FC3 or MiG-21 type of cluter :pilotfly: Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pedals, Oculus Rift :joystick:
spiddx Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 These ghost contacts also have quite interesting closing speeds sometimes. Something like 6.37 mach for example... :) Specs: i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds
fredouf69 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 hi guys someone knows how you can identify the friendly Aircraft ? on target information on top of the radar i see only bearing speed and VR i missed Something? Ps during the intercep mission, i killed my friend :-[
Gunnergolly Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Unfortunately as yet IFF is not implemented, so the current ROE state that next time you will have to close with in visual range and confirm that it's hostile before you open fire :). Here's a thread all about the IFF problem. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=156603 Regards. Para_Bellum Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Does that mean we can't lock on a jamming ship? Eventually the radar will burn through the jamming signal and enable you to lock onto the target.
