Crash on Launch 1.5.2

Hi I have just downloaded and installed the latest update for DCS World 1.5 and when I launch I get the DCS slpash screen and then the game crashes with a "Windows is checking the problem" dialogue box and the the game then closes.

 

Included below is the Windows event log and attached are the log files. Would greatly appreciate it if someone can advise what the problem might be.

try renaming your C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS folder ( keep it as a backup for now)

 

restart DCS it will create a new on, then redo your settings, and try to reproduce the problem.

 

if all goes well you can move your input folder back to the newly created one.

Thanks Bignewy I renamed the folder but it still crashes when I try and launch the same as before. The attachment shows the folder structure I am looking at now.

It looks like it is not getting far enough into the start.

 

it is worth mentioning that your system is below minimum spec, and may be a contributing factor.

 

your NVIDIA GeForce GTX460 1 gb is below the minimum, but I have seen users get by when using low settings in game.

 

are your gtx460 drivers up to date?

also check your c++ 2013 is upto date https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Actually I only have a GTX 260 after the 460 had some issues. It worked for the old DCS but by the sounds of it will not be able to run the new DCS software. Will need to look at a new graphics card.

GeForce GTX 260 is not even directx 11 is it?

 

I suspect that is the problem, indeed time to treat yourself to an upgrade.
