Volator Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Would an A10 afficionado be interested in creating a 1980s USAFE skin for the -A model? In the 1980s the 81st TFW (tailcode WR) operated the A10A out of RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge, UK. More reference photos can be found here. 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
mwd2 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Not check for A-10A, but if you take A-10C with Skin: 23rd. TEW England AFB (EL) you get something similar... Yes, luckily that skin is also available for the A-10A. Would be nice (from a historically minded point) to have the WR code and maybe some individual squadron or pilot markings though. 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Blooze Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) This skin is available on the lockon files website. Google lockon files and look for downloads or get it HERE. Edited January 2, 2016 by Blooze [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

As this seems to be an A-10C skin, is it interchangeable with the A-10A in DCS? 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Blooze Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I think the skins are the same for both A-10A and C. Put the livery in your A-10A liveries folder and see if it appears in the paint schemes menu in the mission editor. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Volator Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 That worked, thank you! Is it intended that the antennas on top of the fuselage are grey? 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

Volator Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) For others interested in this topic, I found a generic skin of the 81st TFW created by EricJ56. It doesn't have the unpainted antennas of the aforementioned skin. It can be found at the same site mentioned above (for some reason the name is blocked here in this forum).
