Malakie Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I too like to run sims using my three monitors. However I have run into a problem. My main monitor was recently upgraded to a new Asus UHD 4K running in 3840x2160. My two other secondary monitors, however, are older HP's and they run at a max of 1920x1080. The game runs just fine, looks beautiful on all three even with the differences in resolution... HOWEVER, because of the way it is rendered, in this mode you cannot get to nor see the OPTIONS button nor any other button across the TOP menu bar in the main menu... In other words, there is no way to now FIX or alter settings to go back to one screen or anything else. And with that, brings a question.. What file do I need to delete or alter to get the game out of this 3 monitor setting now so I can at least get back to the options panel?? BTW this occurs in BOTH 1.5 AND 2.0 Alpha/Beta Take it light... Kuky Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Delete your monitor lua file, and game will default to single screen config. This is known bug... simply don't use custom GUI coordinates with UIMainView = GUI, instead use UIMainView = Viewports.Center PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Habu_69 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I have found that if I include the line UIMainView = Viewports.Center in ANY monitor file in the MonitorSetup folder, DCSW 1.5.2 will not load at all. When I double-click on the DCSW icon, the program starts to load for a few seconds, then stops. If I delete that one line from the monitor file, the program loads. Of course the line "UIMainview = GUI" with custom GUI parameters does not work either. That leaves me with the quandry, that when I set my multiple monitor res (3456x1080) in the options menu, the GUI expands to 3456x1080, leaving only a portion of the GUI screen visible and no selection menus are visible. After several hours, I have found no work-around to this issue.
