A10C NEW CAMPAIGN is looking for testers...

Hello everyone,

i built up a new campaing SP for A10C in version 1.5.2, this is my first attempt to do such a thing and no matter how hard i tried i realized that it could be full of bugs.

In my computer things work fine (more or less :) ) but i heard that there are triggers that go wrong when exportin missions to other computers so...

So what i need is you guys to test it out, and if things work fine for you i will submit it to DCS user's file too. (for free off course)

 

PLEASE NOTE:

 

1)English is not my first language so be patient for grammar and spelling errors

 

2)After i made all the voices with voice generator i repent and i decided to put live voices instead, but i was working alone so there is only my voice there, it will probably sound silly but ...again be patient.

 

3)I am not a military expert

WINTER CALL

 

The campaign takes place in Georgia after a golpe that left the two major regions in the hands of pro russian militia backed up by russian military equipment and personnel.

You will fight two frontes in 8 missions that will push the russian back and free those regions for the new georgian government.

All of this is fictional and i have nothing against Russia ( to be clear :) )

 

Difficult goes from medium to quite hard (at least for me) and require you to have a good knowledge of all your plane systems

 

Missions are quite long (1 hour more or less)

I NEED FEEDBACK !

I am willing to work to correct all bugs and problems you could encounter but i can't do more than what i did alone so now i need you guys to test it out :)

Tried first mission, got shot down by the SAM cause I've turned off RWR because of the F16 pinging me at the beginning :O

 

Seems to work so far, will try again tonight I hope.

For first mission i suggest you to be very precise not to cross border near target area ;)

Hi....i have no news so i suppose everything works....more or less....meanwhile i am working on another mission (CSAR) to add to the campaign.

When i am done i will post it into DCS users files, unless some of you tell me that things are badly broken....:thumbup:

Managed to play the first mission today, all triggers worked as I expected and I managed to complete the mission and proceed to the next one. It was fun to play and I'm looking forward to the rest of it! I found the AGM-65H to be near useless though due to the time of the mission (low lighting during dusk) but I used the D model on the significant AA threat.

I am reworking mission 7 as it is a little messed up, and i have done a new mission CSAR to implement the campaign, i will post the new version soon and i will work on any bugs or suggestion people like you are willing to give me.

I believe I'm stuck on mission 3, haven't had time to run it again.

 

 

Upon reaching Gori I use F10 to make the radio call and receive the response instructing me to fly to the given co-ordinates. Near the co-ordinates I hear from the troops on the ground informing me of their position and to contact Ford JTAC. When I check in with Ford he tells me no further tasking available and that I can depart. Spent 10-15 trying to check in without success. Note that I have my radios set on simplified mode, but I don't think this is the issue as I hear a reply from the JTAC.

Hmm, tried the first mission now 5 times. 4 times got shot down by sam, 1 time by guns...

I am too bad in the A-10 to give any Feedback..

 

I have clouds directly over the targets. How do I bring in Laser bombs?

At what altitude shall I stay to bomb down the Silos?

Try with JDAM instead of laser bomb :)

I'll have a look at mission 3 , i know that jtac have problems there....i'll try to see if i can solve it.

Mission 1 is with clouds, the target should be partially covered and you can bomb with laser if you choose the right moment, but i'll have a look at it as well.

Right now i have very bad problems with my HOTAS (x55 madcats) and i am quite unable to play but i will try to solve them.

Mission 3 has an issue with jtac (this was caused by a last minute change) i fixed it and it will be ok on next release, as long as other bugs and a new mission.

For now you have 2 ways of going on : 1) Open missions as single mission or 2)

Locate 3 APC on the road into the city where coordinates where given to you and take them down before allowing ground forces to proceed
