Hello all. Not sure if this is the right place but have a question about FARPs. I am new to using the editor and trying to make a mission where a Ka-50 attacks a FARP. I want 2-3 choppers parked on the pad. My issue is when I place the choppers it doesn't give me an option where to put them. This leads to a few issues...

1) A few times 2 choppers shared a pad.

2) Even when placing 3-4 choppers, never more then 2 ever appear.

3) Is it possible to have them not take off, just parked? I tried doing a 'static' object but you can't place them.

Thanks for any tips or info on this! :D

Hey, I'm not great with the ME myself but as far as #3, what I would do is create a trigger for them to take off if a particular unit is inside its' zone. Pick a until that will never get inside it's zone and it will never take off. Hope you understand what I'm talking about here... Not sure about the first two as I have seen that nor tried to add more than 2 helos myself... Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Thanks for the post. It was a simple fix based on me being a noob to the editor :P

A guy in Reddit reminded me that only one group could share a FARP. I had all choppers as individuals. Once I made them one group they all landed. :D

If you want to attack a FARP with enemy helos sitting on it, you have to place enemy helos on it in the ME and tick "Uncontrolled". This will make them just sit there and do nothing.

No problem and glad it was an easy fix!

Oh, I thought you were only trying to have them on the FARP, not land and take off, too. If you're wanting them to stay parked until a specific time then triggers are in order once again. Anyway, welcome to the wonderfully intricate depth of the Mission Editor, enjoy your mission making! ;)

Excellent. That his helpful too! I will try that!

I found the 'attack' on the FARP a bit disappointing as the choppers don't really explode when they are on the ground. I imagine I have to make them 'explode' upon damage as they don't seem to be able to 'die'.
