CHRISXTR3M3 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) So today I have tried the new keybindings provided to us with the update. The specific bindings which are not currently working properly are the radar & FBW "HOTAS Switch" keys. The commands I noticed are those Isolated in the red boxes in the images provided. They don't toggle as they should...infact they operate in one position for as long as you hold the button down and then they revert back to the starting position/setting. Before Anyone states that the commands say "HOTAS Switch" I understand what that means. The issue I have is I don't have 2 or 3 position switches in my HOTAS throttle, the only people who do are the Thrustmaster Warthog Owners. I use an x55 throttle control with the Thrustmaster Warthog stick. With that said, it would be more understanding if the commands were named "Custom Hold...etc" as the FBW spin command is, since that is how they behave. :joystick::joystick::joystick: I expected the HOTAS switch commands to behave appropriately as a toggle for a toggle switch HOTAS. Had the commands been named like the FBW spin command then I wouldn't have even tried. Not sure if this is how it was intended, but if it is, then those of us using x55 throttle controls are being deprived of being able to set up a true HOTAS scheme through DCS. sedenion Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 The keybind list provided in the new update is in fact the copy-past of the Rlaxoxo mod http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=158654 and Rlaxoxo has a Warthog and made these keybind for its own usage :) 1

Sedenion you're great at coding from what I've seen with your work on the HUD and HDD. Can you help us with the code for these commands to allow a seperate set for us that have toggle and not position switches? I will <3 you long time User Files for AV8-B, X55

I will <3 you long time No way to create toggle for now... i searched how to do a custom LUA function for toggle or an LUA function to directly send value to a cockpit device to try some hack, but found nothing... if an ED dev can tell us what is the magical LUA function to set (and get !) an arbitrary cockpit device value... but right now i can't do anything.

Could it be done by mimicking the Gear Up/Down commands from the FC3 aircraft? Although I am unsure if it would work on the M2k. If I knew how to modify lua I would try it. Either way thank you for attempting to help! :) User Files for AV8-B, X55

Zeus67 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Mea Culpa. I took Rlaxoxo files and implemented them without checking. He was saving me a ton of time. I was already on day 2 of keyboard mapping. So the commands are made for 2 way switches, not toggle switches such as the x55 has, which are pictured in Rlaxoxo's post. Is there a way we can implement the code a different way so they work with the toggle? Or as a single press activation without automatic return to neutral or "starting" state? I just googled "Hotas Switch" and that shit came up xD Back to the point I don't know how to add toggle switches if I did I would also add them along with those For toggle switch I would need to know the preexisting function name so I can call it twice witch each button press but since I can't find them and don't know where they are or how to make them I'm sry [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit

I think the easiest worm around for now will be to create a custom rhino profile for the x55. I will try to do that tomorrow after SAR academy. I will update this thread with the profile once it is created. Thank you for your help either way User Files for AV8-B, X55

I'm using those, they are very well sorted and easy to understand. Also they got rid of all the unused stuff from FC3. This is how a control setup should look like. :) Highly recommended. Had enough of modding for now need to take a break for my midterms and uni stuff so ya not much free time to do shit these days Edited January 23, 2016 by Rlaxoxo [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
