[NO BUG] Alarm sound after DCS 1.5.2.49392 Update 2

have'nt saw that reported.

 

since last DCS 1.5.2.49392 Update 2.

there no alarm sound during ramp start (alarm switch on(the new one)).

also tried ramp start with external power supply, swiching on alram switch, same, no alarm no sound during ramp start

The warning sound logic has been updated.

It now sounds continuously for RED warnings until reset.

AMBER warnings you will only hear a chime every 20 seconds until reset.

My crew and I are not getting any alarm sounds at all. We have tried all the positions on the switch and still nothing. One of our own is a former mirage pilot and even the position the switch is supposed to work in doesn't work.

 

Any insight?

Hmm, we are talking about 1.5, right? Because they work for me there while they don't in 2.0.

 

Audio Warning switch in the middle position. (No idea, what the top one does) Main Battery switch on.

I get the continous tone for red warnings and the short chime after 20 sec (and then every 20 sec) for amber warnings.

 

Edit: It could be argued that the first chime should probably sound when the light comes on and not after 20 sec.

1.5 here. Didn't test 2.0 as I have a ton of DTC problems with that at the moment

For me no alarm sounds at all either in 1.5 or 2.0 since last upgrade

Maybe some people don't realize the audio alert switch has been implemented?

 

However,

 

- there are 3 positions, not sure it's intended, and if it is, what they mean. I looked at the documentation but since there is no version I have no idea whether it has been updated or not. Couldn't find the information there, nor elsewhere, so can't say :)

 

- the 3-way switch is not compliant... again ;)

 

- when a warning is triggered while the switch is in "mute" position - so either aft or forward, it's indeed muted (probably what confuses people here). When one toggles the switch to the central position the alarm becomes audible, and that's as expected. However, if one then toggles the switch aft or forward, the alarm remains audible. Likewise, if the alarm is triggered while the switch is in central position, it is audible, but toggling the switch does not mute it. Is that the expected behaviour? That's probably the safest behaviour actually, it's just a bit surprising.

 

Anyway, it's nice to be able to mute those cold start alarms :)

 

 

Behaviour is the same for me in 1.5.2.49392.141 and 2.0.0.49135.73.
