Beta Sokol Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Dear all, I have a general question about power supply of the new implemented cabin fans. Are they are now using A/C power instead of 27 V D/C ? I can't switch them on with accumulator on only. My fan at home - it´s an old DV 302 T - runs even on 12 V D/C, but a bit slower. Is there some new equipment since the older Mi 8 versions ? btw. i like the fan sound - rubber blades yeah ! carry on...
Beta Sokol Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 OK, they are running on external D/C power...
AlphaOneSix Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 The fans are on the rectifier bus, so you need to either have the rectifiers online, or the standby generator, or external DC power. You probably already figured that out, though.
Askerov24 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Not only external DC power, if your generators and rectifiers are on, you can turn them on Acer Aspire E5-571G-713W/Intel® Core™ i7-4510U 2.0-3.1GHz/12 GB DDR3 L Memo/NVIDIA® GeForce® 820M 2 GB/1000 GB HDD
Beta Sokol Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 ...thanks a lot guy´s, i just tried to check the sound with nothing else running then the fans. I remember my times sitting in Mi 8 cockpits, fans on, reading documentations, switching every switch and watching the result. But mostly we where on external power, thats true... Strekaya Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I am curious though, there was a time in 1.2.16 where I could (using only batteries) use the standby rectifier switch on the center console to link/power the rectifier bus via the batteries and do things like contact the tower before startup on the radio, power things like spotlights (pointless, I know) or other things on the rectifier bus like that. Granted, the fans were not in place back then, but being on the rectifier bus nonetheless, was that pre 1.5 system behavior incorrect?
