F15 BVR Training Missions and Tutorials

Hi guys, finally decided to take the plunge into the world of BVR combat. Read the documentation, watch ironhands excellent videos on radar usage, and also setup a few basic missions to test it all out.

 

Been scouring the internet and youtube for some good guides/tutorials on DCS F15 BVR but with not much luck.

 

Any good info out there to read/watch for beginners? Any training missions that have been made that introduce you to to BVR combat?

 

Or should i just setup my own quick missions and go from there?

BVR info appears to be particularly hard to come by. One of the better sources someone pointed me towards is the US Navy Basic Fighter Maneuvering manual, which I think is titled CNATRA P-1289. Should be available here:

It appears that this is a public, i.e. non-restricted document so downloading & reading it should be good-to-go.

 

There are also a few youtube videos on BVR fighting, though I'm never sure how much they show real tactics vs how much they show "stuff that works in the game."

These are more about radar usage and nthn about an enemy that's not just flying towards us, but also firing too :)
