Engine popping sound since 1.5.2.49392.141 and 2.0.0.49135.73

There's another thread but it's not in the bug section and apparently not reported, so I'll post this to make sure it's noticed.

 

Since those updates, the engine makes a popping sound, there's a video in the mentioned thread that illustrates that.

 

Very annoying sound, I hope it can easily be fixed. There seems to be a work-around but I haven't tested it.

I have the same problem, but not just on idle and on the deck. Even in flight from the F11 camera view the popping is audible.
