DayGlow Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Noticed while playing around trying to get internal engine sound to the right level. During startup with canopy open the engines are quite,a lot quieter than I remember in 1.2. Closed the canopy and no change in volume, unlike 1.2 "It takes a big man to admit he is wrong...I'm not a big man" Chevy Chase, Fletch Lives 5800X3D - 64gb ram - RTX3080 - Windows 11
SilentGun Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 its probably because you have one of the new settings they have added, which is the "Hear like in helmet" option. the setting is located under the audio tab in the options menu. Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales... :)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)
DayGlow Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Tried with it on and off. Exited completely out if the sim when toggled, no difference "It takes a big man to admit he is wrong...I'm not a big man" Chevy Chase, Fletch Lives 5800X3D - 64gb ram - RTX3080 - Windows 11

During startup with canopy open the engines are quite,a lot quieter than I remember in 1.2. Closed the canopy and no change in volume, unlike 1.2 I noticed that as well in the Huey. Really hoping that feature can be "modded" back into the game.
