Hi all! I hope you can help me.

First of all "sry" my english is not the best ;)

I recently bought the DCS A10C and tried to set up some HOTAS Controles with my Logitech Xtreme3D Pro.

I wanted to use the 6 side buttons as modifiers for the little coolie hat at the top of the stick. I declared them as modifiers for TMS, DMS, CMS etc. and assigned them.

When I now enter a game they work fine for a few seconds but then suddenly stop responding in a weird way. For example: I made my TGP SOI with Modifier Cooli + Coolie Hat Right Long and zoomed in with Modifier DMS + Coolie Hat Up. After that no more Modifiers work and I can only zoom in or out not matter what Modifier i push. They act as if they are broken (but they get recognized in the Joystick Settings if I Alt+Tab):joystick:. I tried and reset all settings to avoid "double assingments" etc. but none of it helped.

Hope you can help

I tried to assign some other keys as modifier but the problem is the same. The weird thing is that they work perfectly fine for the first few inputs and then stop working. Seems to be a problem caused by DCS itself.

This is how it looks

It maybe where you assigned the joy_button?

From what I see you assigned it to the Switch (Schalter) which makes it a one push action while Modifier (Modifikatoren) is the one you hold while pressing the alternate button.

I made the same mistake when I first started setting up my controls. I am also thinking that not saving to separate profiles may be an issue.

This youtube channel is pretty good

and that guide has some interesting points.

Switch (Schalter) is a permanent modifier - need be turned ON and OFF, or remain ON.

Example, be press F-12 this became modifier POV HAT until you press F-12 again to stop.

If not only the POV HAT commands mapped with F-12 as modifier will be executed.

Modifikatoren is a momentary switch - only work when button is pressed and hold.

In you picture, for example RWin, only with Rwin pressed and hold the POV HAT do the command mapped with this modifier.

Good keys to be used as "Switch" is Scroll Lock, Caps Lock because the keyboard LED will tell if the switch are ON of OFF. Remember to reset after each flight or became inverted, relative to LED status.

I still cannot explain why the keys sometimes work and then other times they do not.

Well I found something out. Seems that some of the buttons only respond when you push them a certain way. Try out the Profiler.

You 2 solved it

It was me not understanding the difference between the switch and modifier system.

It now works perfectly fine. Thank you very much, this was really getting me frustrated!
