rollin_sb Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I need a combat Fight Sim that will work on my newer mod PC. It is 64 bit, Windows 8.1, Hard Drive 900 Gb, with 4 Gb RAM. Microsoft Combat Flight Sim 3 does work, even though it says XP and not 8.1 windows. I would love to get something along the lines of A-10 Warthog which says minimum of 4 Gb Ram, but I don't want to buy unless it will work. Thanks
dooom Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 4 gb ram might be a problem for this game tbh... what is your video card? ASUS Tuf Gaming Pro x570 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @ 3.8 / XFX Radeon 6900 XT / 64 GB DDR4 3200 "This was not in the Manual I did not read", cried the Noob" - BMBM, WWIIOL

I am currently running on a HP G6 Laptop 4GB Ram/600 GB HDD/2.76 Ghz Cpu/Win 8/64 Bit with most of the graphics turned down or off. Runs smooth with FC3 and still looks good(Normal). Most important is flying smooth and will worry about the scenery whenever i get my hands on a new powerful rig........... Tac Edited February 4, 2016 by TAC-1 1
SilentGun Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 You could always try downloading it for yourself and using the two free modules that DCS comes with (Su-25T/TF-51D) to see how it runs. Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales... :)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

JINX_1391 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Thanks for the help. I found out I need a graphics card, my PC only has built in intel 4000 series made into motherboard. Going to get vid card and more ram, then Ill be back. I have very little issues running DCS with that same video card. Some issues with MP, but SP runs fine. Here are my benchmarks for DCS with that vid card on a Dell laptop: DCS 1.2 (SP) = 15-20 FPS w/ setting at High/Med DCS 1.2 (MP) = Same as above DCS 1.5 (SP) = 12-15 FPS w/ settings at Med/High DCS 1.5 (MP) = 13-17 FPS w/ settings at Med/High DCS 2.0 (SP) - 10-12 FPS w/ settings at Low DCS 2.0 (MP) - 8-11 FPS w/ settings at Low Usually the game lags too much on landing approach or when there is a lot of ground traffic.
