It seems elevator trim does not work.

When setting trim for take off the, take off position light shows. However the control stick does not move, nor does the actual tailplane.

In flight there is no change to trim, nose up or down. The lateral and longitudinal alternate trim switches also are non functional.

This makes the aircraft basically un-flyable; with full aft stick displacement needed just to get the nose wheel to lift on the takeoff roll

Hmm trim works fine for me. A (newly introduced) control conflict maybe? Have you tried re-asigning?

Yup, I reset controls to defaults used keyboard bindings.

The take off trim position light comes on as if the trim has moved into takeoff position, but nothing moves. Control stick, tail plane, anything.

This is on the NTTR 2.0.1 map, not 1.5.2

Edit: Ill do a repair and see if that does anything

I did a DCS repair, uninstalled the module, reinstalled same thing :(

Hi NightRush!

That's a strange one - both normal and alternate trim are working fine here in 2.0.1.49921.

Did you rename/delete your DCS "Saved games" folder already?

Make sure to display the controls indicator with RCTRL+ENTER and remember that the normal trim switch on the control stick is not animated yet.

Yeah I tried that, cleared all bindings on all devices.

Just ran keyboard and mouse, same thing. Its not the trim switch that isnt moving, But the stick in the cockpit and the tail. When you set trim before 2.0.1 the entire stick is displaced as you trim. So trim nose high the stick would move towards you, and tail would move. This doesnt happen, all I get is the Take off trim light comes on if you hold nose up trim long enough.

In flight, triming in anyway has zero effect on the aircraft's pitch or roll

I have the elevator trim (and the rudder trim) set for the grip. However, elevator trim don't work, and the rudder trim seems to work with the assignments I set for the elevator. I use a Sidewinder 2 and the hat switch. In assigning the hat switch, it seems to me that pushing on the switch should be for nose down, and pulling back for nose up. This is exactly the opposite of the way they show up in the controls section. Of course, that matters little, if the elevator trim isn't working at all. It seems to me it did in the past.

Post script: I deleted everything and re-installed. Still no elevator trim. Hat switch on stick does move, though.

When we say trim is working or not working, under what conditions are we referring to? Instant missions, or some other? I haven't gotten beyond instant missions, yet. I'm just learning. So, it could be that, in say MP, it works fine.

"Works fine for me" doesn't tell us a lot.

Could all of the people in this thread please be specific about what they mean?

If we have a bug, it should be fixed. If it is just instant missions I, for one, would like to know so I can get on with flying the F-86.

Thanks,
