Speedbrake Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Something has gone wrong with the M-2000C navigation system in v2.0.1 (the latest update) Alpha. I created a mission in the NTTR and have flown it multiple times without a problem. However in the latest update the waypoint pointer and the heading error indicator are mismatched and the waypoints don't step through (go to the next waypoint, as you reach a waypoint. Anyone else having this problem? I went into the mission editor and resaved the mission thinking an update may have caused the problem but no luck, it still seems hosed.

If you meant the triangle by the heading scale. It no longer points towards the waypoint heading. It shows the HSI selected course. 2. The house-like pointer that is on the level with the FPM still shows the course towards the waypoint. To be on course all you have to do is put the FPM in the "house". 3. The waypoint automatically changes when it is in NAV mode only. Speedbrake Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 That's what I meant. I will give it another try using what you are telling me. I was used to the triangle and "house-like" pointer matching up when you were on course. So when I thought I got to the waypoint, following the triangle on the heading scale I was really way off course if I didn't reselect the heading in the HSI.
Zeus67 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 You don't need the two to match to be on course. You only need for the FPM to be inside the "house" arrow. You can change the HSI course as you wish, even matching that of the waypoint. Speedbrake Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 All Good! Jumped too quick. I didn't realize that the newest update added to the navigation system....didn't see a change log for the update. I retried my mission and all is well using the updated capability. My bad! :music_whistling:

enigma6584 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 LOL...you are not alone Speedbrake. I was confused for a while myself after trying to new update and finally got smart and read the changes in the change log and manual and finally figured it out or thought I did. This thread just confirms the new changes which I really like. Also bit different in HUD symbology when you are master arm on and missiles selected...bit different than what we had before. What a beautifully done module, just love flying this aircraft big-time.
Wizard1393 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 +1 was confused. Also thought maybe a resave of the mission would "fix" the waypoints lol.
