tunatuk Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I just built a new computer that can more than handle DCS, and one of the things I did was install DCS and some mods. Well it gave me issues, so I uninstalled everything, cleared all my caches, rebooted etc. Then I reinstalled DCS. Same error. I can get in some servers to play, but 95% I can't. I looked at the logs and it has to do with not finding some textures and sound files or protocols or something. I've done a repair installation, uninstalled and reinstalled without ANY mods whatsoever, and I get the same issue. My log file is attached. This is getting quite frustrating for me...Logs.zip
tunatuk Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) I currently have an Intel i7-4790k overclocked to 4.7Ghz, 16GB DDR3 2400Mhz RAM, a Radeon R9 380 4gb DDR3 GPU, running Win 7, and completely up to date. More than powerful enough of a computer to run DCS, as my older, lower powered machine can do it. From looking at the logs, it seems that it isn't finding textures, or can't render them or something, and it also appears that there is sound files or sound protocols that can't be initialized or found. tunatuk Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 I did some more research into this today, and found that if you use a previous BETA version of the Radeon drivers, it works. I was able to do this, and downloaded the previous version into the BIN folder, and it works.
Mustang Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 R9 380 cards have a known issue with DCS 1.5 and 2.0, so yes using .dll from 14.6 Catalyst driver for example with solve the problem http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2555868&postcount=25
