As a SP-only player who loves a WWII/Korea dogfight the current situation really is a pain in the bum, and since a lot of other WWII birds are coming out in the near future I hope this is getting taken care of as soon as possible :)

It's a known limitation and ED has mentioned they'd like to improve it at some point. As far as I know, there is no ETA on this nor has there been any mention of current work on it. So this is something that's probably a long ways off.
