Procedure doe setting Altitude Alerts

Hi

 

I am doing the Maple Flag missions at the moment and they have a Hard Deck height restriction not to go below. I know you have the Alt Alert button on the UFC, but am not sure which settings to use ASL/MSl and how I know I have set them to function as I can't see it's activated. I found the section in the manual, but it's still a bit unclear for me.

1- press the alt alrt button in the ufc.

2- input in the scratchpad the altitude u want to set as AGL floor, then press enter on the UFC.

3- press the alt altrt again and input the altitude AMSL you want to set as floor. Press enter in the ufc.

4- press alt alert again and enter in the scratchpad the altitude AMSL u want to set as ceiling. Press enter in the ufc.

 

U can also press the alt alert and scroll through altitudes with the data rocker switch in the ufc.

I'm not sure you can input the values with the UFC. I've always used the DATA rocker to change them.

I always use the scratchpad and then press enter. Its way faster IMO, especially for the MSL floor and ceiling.
