Maddogtannen Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Guys im new to dcs i have a few questions i love combat flight sims but my question i want to buy the games and some of the dlc does these games have all ready built in campaigns and mission so i can jump in and play or do i have to make them up?
Steggles Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Some have built in campaigns and some don't (ATM). The ones in an early beta state normally don't. If you have a specific aircraft in mind, ask the question for that air-frame. The A10C has a great campaign by Baltic_Dragon, as well as the standard one that comes with the module. Huey has one that comes with it, so does the KA-50 and F15. As for any other aircraft someone else may be able to tell you. I have all modules but never looked into their campaign as I mostly play online, and I cant take a look at the moment. Sryan Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Ka-50 spans the crown right now with 6 free campaigns and a paid one. although 3 of them are chapters part of the same campaign iirc. the "deployment" campaign for it is cited as very good as it starts out fairly easy and progresses on to be more difficult, providing a nice curve. All the korean era jets don't have a campaign right now, and neither seem any of the trainers. The WW2 fighters have some sort of challenge campaign. Not a real or fictious ww2 story-driven campaign. all the planes in the FC3 pack have their own campaigns. The Su-33 even sports two where one is apperently a little more hardcore requiring you to recover to the deck of an aircraft carrier before the mission is counted as complete. The Su-27 sports two campaigns, the free "mozdok" campaign and the paid "ultimate argument" campaign. Only the MiG-29S sports a campaign out of 3 playable MiG-29 variants. The F15 also sports a free and a paid campaign but the paid campaign relies on you owning the Nevada terain pack as well. The A-10C also has a few campaigns. One of them comes with the purchase of the module. Another one is unlocked when you have both the A-10 and the combined arms pack ( similair campaign that also allows you to control ground units ). One of them is paid ( and linked to you by steggles ) and another one is paid but again requires the nevada map. I'd also like to point out that there are single missions, some aircraft have more than others. I think it's worth pointing out that the A10-C has 20, Su-27 has 10, Ka-50 has 17 and 109 has 12 single missions and instant action missions that are not free-flights or training missions. This is only speaking for the modules I own. If you're interested in a particular craft. Let us know and someone who owns it can check what amount of content there is. If you wanna know what the campaigns are like you can always play the completely free georgian oil war campaign in the free SU-25T. If you want to know more about other campaigns you can always check youtube. I recomend Bunyap's channel. He has video's about several campaigns while talking about interesting and relevant stuff. have a nice day! Check my F-15C guide
