Huey Sim controls NEWBIE

Ok just got the HUEY,,can anyone tell this newbie how to set my controls to fly this thing in SIM mode,,Im no stranger to Helos I fly them well ,,but I am new to this problem,,I need help on collective ,,im using a Macroshaft FFB 2 old school,,but she still runs anything else I use er on,,,until the Huey,,everything works except the lift.

Can you be more specific, please? What do you use for collective and what issues exactly do you have with it?

 

The FFB2 does not come with a throttle unit, so you use the keyboard controls for collective? If that is the case, then that might also be the core of your problems. You might want to use something with an analogue axis (with enough travel ... an analogue joystick hat for example won't help much!) for the collective.

Thanks for the reply, you just told me what i needed to know,so guess im stuck in game mode till i get another more modern control set up.

No slider on the joystick, anyway once you have enough torque to get into a hover you can pretty much leave it set. Hover torque will give you 90 knots once you reach translation al lift and level out
