RotorWrecker Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 DCS version 2.01 Sling load work at Hoover Dam today. The sub-stations need parts delivered and you are just the pilot to do it. Auto-release should be used for advanced pilots. Manual release may be used by the "that's close enough crowd". Farp is located as close as we could get it. Pickup zone is to the west. Drop zones are to the northwest and will be marked with smoke. The fourth drop is at the bottom of the dam. The terrain mesh (?) is a little off down there. You can either get in the right spot and use manual release or if you use auto-release, land in the smoke and the cargo will release when you are about 4 feet off the ground. The cargo for the fifth pickup looks like it is floating a couple feet off the ground. Things are a little off down there.HooverSlingloaders.miz
DUSTY Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Thanks for this, going to try tonight. Been a while since I've tried slingloading and I should probably walk before I run but what the heck! Meiz Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Great little mission, more challenging then it sounds as well with the power lines being so close and intimidating. I feel more confident with the Huey after flying this for a couple of times. Edited March 24, 2016 by Meiz
