Galwran Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 As I said earlier, I don't know how you do it. Anyway, to activate the VTB (radar screen) in the cockpit you only need to assign a key to the following command: VTB Viewport On/Off It is grouped under Systems. I hope that helps. Yes, that works. So this could be marked as solved. /though you can bind it only on keyboard at the moment.
PiedDroit Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 [...]As it stands when you perform this kind of setup it commits that monitor to the display (it blacks it out) so I cannot see why I would have this as a toggle-able output when I have already made the commitment of turning it on by modifying the .lua files in order to turn it on in the first place. [...]Some people do not use a secondary monitor and welcome the ability to toggle the display.
Maulkin Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Some people do not use a secondary monitor and welcome the ability to toggle the display. I guess this is the part I don't understand...if you don't use a second monitor then what display are you toggling? What are you exporting to? --Maulkin Windows 10 64-bit - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 3.7 GHz - 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM - EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 - Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard - Samsung EVO Pro 1 TB SSD - TrackIR 4 Pro - Thrustmaster Warthog - Saitek rudder pedals - Lilliput UM-80/C with TM Cougars
PiedDroit Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I guess this is the part I don't understand...if you don't use a second monitor then what display are you toggling? What are you exporting to? I export the radar on the main screen (on a 512x512) Viewport). If I want to glance at the radar while looking elsewhere, I use the toggle key then I hide the radar again. But I can't keep it on all the time because I find it obstructive. I fully understand your point of view too, this is why instead of calling for a feature removal I prefer asking for something tbat makes it flexible enough. In that case, an option somewhere that controls the initial visibility state of the viewport. It could be done in game options or from the monitor configuration .lua The only thing I don't like much right now is the transparency of the display.

Ok then yes I agree that would be a good feature. Does any other module support this feature of toggling exports? --Maulkin Windows 10 64-bit - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 3.7 GHz - 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM - EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 - Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard - Samsung EVO Pro 1 TB SSD - TrackIR 4 Pro - Thrustmaster Warthog - Saitek rudder pedals - Lilliput UM-80/C with TM Cougars
