OT: Need some advice please [(AGP) 6600gt or 7600gs]

Hi All,

 

I’m not up on all the technical “stuff” so I was wondering if anyone could tell me which one of these two AGP cards are better; BFG branded 6600 GT OC 128mb or 7600 GS OC 512MB.

Believe me I would love to get a 7000 series AGP for my system

 

But I don't think they are available.

 

OOPs OK I just found 7800 AGP card by BFG link attached;

 

I am going to get it if I can find it in Thailand.

Yeh Sleek,

 

I just noticed these are avialable now.

 

I was looking a few months back and nothing was available.

 

Now shaabam! ( the marketers didn't forget me after all)

 

I will have to do a little work to find one in Thailand though.

 

I could really go for that 512mb ram (yummy)

 

Price is of course very high (starts drooling)

I just found out that there will be a gt version of this card :) A7600 GT TDH http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/company/press_2.asp?newsid=138

 

Also OcUk will be stocking them in about two weeks :) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/

 

Hopefully it will be around the same price as the A7600 GS TDH which will retail for £111.57..

I was looking to see if OC uK could ship outside of uK ?

 

I would really like to buy one of these AGP boards but there is this invisible

 

barrier to international sales of consumer goods ?

 

Computer stuff is hard to get in Thailand and most or all Elect Distributers

 

cannot ship to overseas locations ?

 

It's not really a small world after all just one full of trade barriers and

 

exclusive distributorship agreements. (haves and have_nots)

They do ship to Taiwan, Japan etc but I didn’t see Thailand on the list. However you should check out the forums and email them, you never know you might be able to work out some kind of shipping arrangement. Although these cards wont be out for a couple of weeks so you may find a store then that will able to get it to you when they're released.
