Speedbrake Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Am I missing something? The autopilot system in all three of my copies of DCS World does not seem to work as in the flight manual. Except for the test button, I never get the yellow light for the first click and the green for the second click. It always goes directly to green on the first click. I believe it worked when I first loaded the M-2000C and can see it work in Bunyap's video of the M-2000C. Do I need to got back to the default control setting and reset my Warthog HOTAS? Is it working for anyone else as it is written in the flight manual?
PiedDroit Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) I think the manual has to be updated and the correct behaviour is the one you see in the sim now. I'll let someone more knowledgeable dive into the fine details ;) Edited March 12, 2016 by PiedDroit
spiddx Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) No problem on your side, the AP behaviour changed after initial release. Don't know if the standby step will come back, the whole AP system is still WIP. Speedbrake Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks Glad I'm not having problems over the last few updates! :) Thanks!
ZHeN Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 any ideas why my autopilot is not following waypoints ? I'm pressing A-F, and the lights go green. Is that correct? though it can land a plane in APP mode. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Rlaxoxo Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Autopilot works just fine to me: [ame= ] [/ame] [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
ZHeN Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 yeah, I mentioned that already, it can land a plane (though you have to manage thrust by your own), but can it go through waypoints ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Rlaxoxo Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 yeah, I mentioned that already, it can land a plane (though you have to manage thrust by your own), but can it go through waypoints ? I guess it can but for now you can move the little green arrow on the HSI (compass) with your trim keys to tell the aircraft where to go and just point it to the same heading the waypoint is at [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
ZHeN Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 well... I'm sure you understand, that's not the way AP should work ... I know, we're not gonna get fully functional AP until INS is done, but simply following waypoints, that were set in the mission editor - is not that big deal, is it ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
jojo Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) Mirage 2000C doesn't follow flight plan. You have to do it manually. You can put the AP on stand by and make the turn yourself with the stick, or use roll trim to change heading. Later Mirage 2000 variant can follow the waypoints but not this one. Maybe you saw there is a blank button on AP command panel. It would be written NAV.H. if flight plan function was available. The real Mirage is able to capture ILS for landing, but it's certified down to 200ft/ AGL. You're supposed to disengage it and make the flare manually. I don't know if it's already available but I'm it will be. Edited May 11, 2016 by jojo Mirage fanatic !
