Challenge Campaign Mission #1, can't start engine

I've started the 109K engine hundreds of times in other missions. Feeling bored, I decided to try the challenge campaign, but the engine will not start in the first mission. Just to see I tried the right-win + home trick, and that also failed to start the engine.

May have something to do with outside air temp. I had the same problem initially, then opened the mission file and changed January to July, and she started up fine.

Should be a temp. But I could start up it from third attempt.

Interesting. So, is the right-win+home procedure in error?

 

Before I tried the cheat, I tried turning on ground power and various throttle settings. What's the trick with such cold weather?

Right-win+home just making standard procedures without checking positive response.

Without ether the only solution for cold weather is multiple attempts.

Anyway we'll see the mission and the plane itself, because -2 Celsius isn't too cold for proper start.

Funny. I have a mission where it's -2 Celsius, and it never hesitates to start. I'm going to try again now. Thanks for your help.
