Hi, getting back into some simming after a few years break....

doing the cold start, I notice you cant physically move the throttle from off to idle to start the engine....instead have to use keyboard command alt/home....

Is there a way to set up my warthog so you can do this by moving the throttle instead of keys?

Thanks!

Also, would like to set view zoom on my mouse wheel, I am using track ir as well, but its not really ideal having to lean forward to look at something closely all the time....Is it possible to zoom with the mouse wheel, if so how, thank you

If you have a thrusrmaster WH you can use the idle detent for that purpose. When at 0 throttle, lift the throttle and move it further back. Moving it back again should unlock the levers and start engines in the cockpit, provided you kept the default mappings.

For the zoom issue, go to controls, axis commands, and map TrackIR Z axis to longitudinal movement instead of zoom view which is the default.

Fantastic, thanks so much! Forgot completely about the lift up detent on the throttle.......D'oh!

Just tried the zoom thing....my tack ir already has that axis mapped to longitudinal.....You can look nearer and further by moving your head nearer to the screen and I dont want to lose that functionality, ideally, I would like zoom on my mouse wheel in addition to this, so I can just zoom in anywhere I want to look....is this possible?

There's a difference between the zoom function and the longitudinal axis, if you move your head forward with TiR you move your head in the cockpit (targets etc don't get bigger), if you zoom with the zoom function (for example by binding it on the throttle slider) you actually zoom in, not just move your head forward.

I use the throttle friction slider on the Warthog throttle for zoom (Grey lever on the right handside with INCR and DECR labels). It's a bit clunky, but the actual control works fine with "normal" zoom in the middle detent.
