Pruciak Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Mayby a noob question but I started to learn Mig 21 and i found out that a good dogfight maneuver is a rudder roll. Could someone explain me how to do it properly and use it in a fight?
Nerd1000 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 The MiG's ailerons have poor authority at high angle of attack. Under those conditions you roll by applying a large amount of rudder in the direction you want to go. Naturally this will tend to bleed your speed pretty badly due to the large slip angle, so don't use it unless you need to. 2
Hadwell Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) here's what they are(1st video), and when you use them(2nd video). these are almost all entirely rudder rolls. 8KZSrUomEXk and here's a video of me using rudder rolls to go all matrix style on a m2000c aXGyXTgiCMM Edited March 31, 2016 by Hadwell My youtube channel Remember: the fun is in the fight, not the kill, so say NO! to the AIM-120.
