I too am having the same installation problems but with 1.5.3.

After the "successfull installation" box I get a brief look at the DCS installing screen but the loading fails at 196.5MB (as indicated in Task Manager) and the "not responding" box comes up.

I'm in Win 10 and downloaded with all virus checkers and Win 10 firewall switched off

Open Alpha 2 is working fine.

Any ideas?

Attached is the zipped autoupdate log.

Is that what you mean by "the whole logs folder" If not, where would I find it?

logs folder is in your saved games location

eg: C:\Users\BIGNEWY\Saved Games\DCS\logs

your autoupdate log seems ok to me, it uses your openalpha as a local source and completes.

Please zip your whole logs folder and attach it, it should give us some more clues

thanks

ps do you have an xboxone controller plugged in by chance?

please try deleting ( or renaming it to keep it as a backup) your saved games folder for dcs and allow it to create a new one when it restarts

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS

Also do a repair

Thanks that did the trick.

Additionally I want to add an extra thank you for the speed with which you responded to my problem.
