SinusoidDelta Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 im sure you can still do the same now, but when your opponent is being a vegetable like that it becomes a race against all your teammates to see who can get to him first. considering you spend most of your time climbing around doing your routine, its little wonder you haven't won the lottery since then. Thank you for that analysis. I spend very little time climbing. I win the lottery less often since 1.5. BVR is chess, not checkers. My number one goal is to survive and land my jet.
IASGATG Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 My number one goal is to kill as many bad guys as possible. ;)
SinusoidDelta Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 It sounds like you prefer playing checkers then ;)
bberendts Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 I know I've read this before, but can't remember: what the difference between a missile being pitbull v maddog? Also, how do you maddog a missile off the rails?
GGTharos Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I know I've read this before, but can't remember: what the difference between a missile being pitbull v maddog? Also, how do you maddog a missile off the rails? Maddog is launching a missile without a lock. Pitbull is supporting the missile to MPRF range (in-game, supporting the missile until it goes active) Husky is supporting the missile to HPRF range (comes before pitbull, not applicable to the game). Cheapshot is ending support for your missile before husky or pitbull (as opposed to maddog, where you never had support to begin with) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
bberendts Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 ok - that's right..... maddogging a 120 at > 15nm is a waste (even at high altitude) other than it makes the enemy go defensive, but they easily evade and turn back pretty quick. You have to quickly close the distance and pitbull another shot before they turn back into you. at least, that is my limited experience.
