Windows Touch Tablet as input?

I've seen some older threads on here and around the net about using tablets but the verdicts seemed to be lag and other issues.

 

Has it improved any, or are there better solutions now?

 

I'm using an Asus T100TA running Windows 10.

 

Would something like Helios run on the tablet and interface with the cockpit controls?

Either Helios or TouchBuddy.

(You'll have to hunt for TouchBuddy files, it seems to be an abandoned project).
