DCS updated now can't fly at all but game still runs. Is now DCS observer only.

As the title suggests the game won't assign me to an aircraft in any mode. Instant action, tutorial, edited missions, etc etc.

 

Anything I launch leaves me on the map, I can hit fly and it goes back to the map. I can hit the F keys and change views I can watch the mission unfold.

 

I have repaired the install, (latest 1.5 open beta version as of this post) and I have moved my openbeta folder out of saved games, and relaunched same issues.

 

Help!

Please attach your whole logs folder zipped from saved games, and your autoupdate_log.txt from the main install location.

System is a 4ghz intel 3770k with 2 980's in SLI. Win 7 16 gigs ram.

 

I've been playing for like 10 years never encountered this issue. Only things that changed were the 1.5 update and my video card drivers. Which I'm not sure how the video drivers would cause this issue.

which antivirus are you using?

Bitdefender, but it's not running now or before/after the repair?

 

I just checked and the FC3 products DO work, so yea it looks like this is the issue. What's the fix? Also many thanks for your assistance here!

Bitdefender is known to give DCS problems, try adding the dcs folder to the exclusions list in bitdefender and run a repair

I actually just noticed that Bitdefender isn't even installed, as I removed it awhile back because of other issues. Ran a repair again anyways still no luck on launch!
