unipus Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Hi all, Been having a weird problem with my audio. I looked around and while there are a lot of audio issues, none of them are quite what I'm having. I get choppy, stuttery audio in a couple circumstances. One is when using the third person view on most jet aircraft and missiles. The volume level of the engine abruptly changes, repeatedly, pulsing about every second or two. This same thing happens while also in the cockpit of the Ka-50. It does not happen in the Su-25 cockpit or any other jet that I've tried. I haven't tested it with other aircraft. It is isn't constant (sometimes it's there, sometimes not) but it is repeatable every session. Anyway, very annoying problem and hoping to find a solution. This is the internal audio on a Gigabyte Z97M-D3H motherboard.

unipus Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Sorry I forgot to ever reply to this, but I did discover the (really stupid) cause of the issue: my headset mic was picking up crossover audio from the speakers and activating the cut-out. Turned down the volume a bit and it's fine, until I get adequate headphones of course.
