sabreman Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 For me at least, it feels MUCH easier to fly this helo without autopilot then with. Now this maybe just because I haven't gotten used to it, but I find that it really wants to fight you if you're doing anything other then flying straight at speed.
TomCatMucDe Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 You mean if you disable the roll pitch and yaw channels? Interesting. I have to give that a shot
cquail Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 The SAS is fighting you to some extent because it's trying to keep you straight and level, that's why you need to keep the inputs in during any turns or attitude changes. But I hear you, I can't fly it very smooth either. Level turn while maintaining airspeed in the Gazelle? What's that? :)
