wolle Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Does the altitude mode hold barometric or radar altitude? Can one select which one it should hold? Can't find that info in the manual. :helpsmilie: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core I7 4820K @4.3 GHz, Asus P9X79 motherboard, 16 GB RAM @ 933 MHz, NVidia GTX 1070 with 8 GB VRAM, Windows 10 Pro
wolle Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 bump. Has anyone figured out how to hold radar altitude using the AP altitude mode. Holding barometric altitude is not much use when flying in any terrain where the ground altitude changes. In a helicopter you want to fly low and fast. Is there a mode to hold radar altitude?:helpsmilie: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core I7 4820K @4.3 GHz, Asus P9X79 motherboard, 16 GB RAM @ 933 MHz, NVidia GTX 1070 with 8 GB VRAM, Windows 10 Pro
Para_Bellum Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 I don't think there is such a mode. You would need a terrain following radar for that.
1.JaVA_Platypus Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Altitude mode works. It holds barometric altitude. It automatically disengages when airspeef is below 120 km/h or something. But you'll have to consult the manual for that. Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
1.JaVA_Platypus Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 It is an autopilot/sas function. Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
