I'm not sure if it's just me, but the Gazelle is acting really weird to me at a high altitude airport (about 5000ft).

This only happen after I cold started the engine. So, as soon as I take off, the chopper would like to drop down immediately, even though I've applied close to full power, as you can see on the screenshot, it's descending. If I apply full power and try to hover, it'll maintain like 3ft above ground(It's barely lifting tho). And the only way to resolve this is to either keep hovering or land and let the engine warm up for like 1 min more.

Even more weird, I flew for 10mins and set auto-hover, prior to disengaging the auto hover, I matched my output like how I've done it a 100 times, once it's disengaged, it dropped like a rock and bang.

I asked the other players on the server, but they seemed to be fine.

Has anyone encountered this?

Have you checked the temperature conditions of the environment? If it is very, very hot weather aircraft have problems depending on their weight. Also, regarding weight, are you carrying too much fuel?

I forgot to check the temp(Will report back), i was carrying 4xhot with 50% fuel, so I'm pretty sure I was under the max weight.

In high and hot situations the technique is to go from hovering in ground effect to forward flight and into then through translational lift while remaining in ground effect for as long as possible.. Don't try to climb up more than about 10 feet hovering or you will star to lose your ground effect cushion.

But that doesn't explain why I could just wait 1 more min, and able to lift right off tho.

Maybe the engine gotta warm up or something?

Alright, so the temp is at 0c on that location, so it's not hot at all. And it's pretty much unplayable, because as soon as I get out of auto hover, I'd drop to death.

There's another player on the sever who experienced the same as well.....

When you come out of auto hover make sure that your throttle is set to the same marker as the white dash, this way when you disengage you wont fall out of the sky like a brick
