So, after some months of learning the A10C... I've finally decided to hop into the CDU a few days ago.

What I know how to do:

-Use UTM and L/L coordinates to create Waypoints/Markpoints (and set their elevation)

-Use the Divert mode to go to airfieds.

-Use the Alignment options

-and maybe some other things that I don't quite remember.

(You can see that I only know the basics)

What I'd like to learn:

-Delete Markpoints/waypoints

-Learn the use of the Ofset mode. (When I use it it works the same as the normal Waypoint mode, So I'd like to know what is it for.)

-Learn how to create new/change my flight plan(s).

-Everytime you create a markpoint, the previous one disapears. Is there any way to make the TAD show more markpoints at the same time?

One question that is not about the CDU:

How to use the radio backup navigation? (Is it like te Sabre?)

That one is pretty easy: Just move the left of the two knobs below the CDU to "MARK", because that is what it's there for ;)

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

-Delete Markpoints/waypoints

You cannot in the modded Suite. Later versions of the real A/C you can IIRCC

-Learn the use of the Ofset mode. (When I use it it works the same as the normal Waypoint mode, So I'd like to know what is it for.)

- Press OSET on the CDU.

- Select the waypoint you want to make an offset from, eg. 2049 BULLSEYE

- Enter magnetic heading and distance as MMMDDD, e.g. 180005 is heading 180 from select waypoint for 5 NM

- Type in the name you want the new waypoint to be called

- Copy as new waypoint by pressing ?* on LSK-R7

-Learn how to create new/change my flight plan(s).

- Press FPM on the CDU

- Toggle LSK-L3 []01 to change between AUTO and MANUAL

- Press LSK-R3 to enter the fligh plan it self.

- If you have already made some waypoint then either press 1 (for first waypoint in the database OR type the name of the waypoint.

- Once 1 OR name is in the scratchpad press left of []01 to enter into the flight plan. Continue until you are done.

- If you type in a wrong waypoint, simply click on it to the left of the [] and then press CLR ot clear it.

-Everytime you create a markpoint, the previous one disapears. Is there any way to make the TAD show more markpoints at the same time?

- Yes set you AAP panel PAGE knob into MARK

To delete the flight plan/markpoints/waypoints, you can restart the CDU, simply turning it off and then, turn it on. This is a way to delete them, but you'll need to wait 5 minutes again, if you are on the ground, in flight it takes a bit more, between 5-10 minutes.

The Divert is easy, just click on divert and it shows you 5 nearest airports around you.

There are two modes of alignment, in flight or on the ground, explanation isn't needed seeing if you want to do the alignment in fight, you just click on it, if you want to do the alignment while you're on the ground, just select it. Very simple.

Actually there are three ways to align. The third is FAST.

Once the CDU have finished initialising, and started on the alignment press INS on LSK-R9. Then press ALT ALGN (Alternate Alignment) on LSK-L5 followed by FAST on LSK-R3. The FAST alignment takes 1.4 minutes and is less accurate. I don't think the accuracy is modelled in DCS though.

The FAST option is only available during the first minute or less. Once the normal alignment has gone beyond a certain point you can't choose FAST anymore.

Cheers
