Lock-On FC = I can't zoom in cockpit (FOV)

On Lock On (1.0 and 1.02) = no problem.

But in FC (1.1 or 1.12a), in cockpit, I can't zoom ("/" and "*") : the view (FOV) begins to change but she's reset instantaneously.

 

If I press ENTER (for default FOV), I see the my default FOV 0.1 second, and reset for "imposed FOV".

 

In external view, no problem.

 

I cleared all axes/boutons for mouse and keyboard (and "joystick" when he pluged), except ESC, S and zoom's jeys.

I closed all process in Windows.

 

I have this prb on my 2 OS (2 Xp Pro on same PC).

No modification.

Just after a new install, with or whitout game's configuration.

 

My PC :

XP Pro SP1 + DirectX 9.0c

A7N8X Deluxe

AMD Barton 2.2 Ghz

1 Go

6600GT AGP

"Classic" MS Keyboard

"Classic" MS optic wheel mouse

My joysitck : CH Virtual Pilot Pro + CD Pro Pedals on game port (with the lastest driver, chanlg08.exe )

I had this problem over a year ago, maybe you can find the thread. The most probable cause of your zoom malfunction is the use of either cam2pan or some other head tracking software, uninstall it, and the zoom will work fine again. :)

Cam2pan was not used, and was not executed. I did not think!

Yes, turning it off will not work, an uninstall will.

Check settings - maybe the zoom is assigned to a controller-axis?

So as soon as you would release the key - the axis reports a different setting and it gets set back to that position.

 

EDIT/ADD: Would be nice to know how you fixed it .. in case that problem reoccurs on other systems.... :)
