I would say that this kind of 'smart' is difficult to achieve in SP - since the enemy would need a really good AI to make things believable (e.g. not running straight into the enemy's fire, but taking cover, retreating, hiding or even ambushing, ...). Maybe "Combined Arms" (MP with human players) can help to achieve that one day?

Im RealLife sieht es ja auch nicht anders aus: Du lieferst die angeforderte Waffe auf genau die durchgegebenen Koordinaten - je schneller und exakter Du arbeitest, desto höher die Chance, dass Du gerade einen sehr wertvollen Beitrag geliefert hast. Auch wenn Du den Gegner nie gesehen hast.... Der JTAC am Boden sieht und weiss mehr als Du - kommunizieren kann er die Situation nie komplett. Ist der Panzer evtl. nur eine gute visuelle Referenz für eine Konzentration feindlicher Truppen?? Wer weiss, wer weiss, aber letztendlich obliegt die Verantwortung der Waffenwahl beim JTAC, sorry PS: Phantasie! Eine Simulation *simuliert* ;)

I could not dream of any other picture screaming more for a CBU ... (or two, or three ...)
