Sabre-TLA Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Hi one curiosity. Why in the checklist it's written flaps up before 150 knots and then maneuvering flaps before 180 knots? Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk In our research we found some guidance that indicated flaps should be raised at 10 knots above takeoff speed. 150 knots seemed reasonable. If you can get access to an accurate TOLD chart I believe it will show specifically at what speed flaps should be raised for the weight of the aircraft (given different ordnance loads and fuel). The maneuvering flaps will automatically raise at speeds above 180 or 185 knots. Technically you don't have to raise them before then but they do cause drag so if you want to increase speed you should raise your flaps. MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates
